07 Jan The world’s first 360° dance video by Steeve Austin [New link]
I was so exited about this, I needed to share it with everyone. A month ago I was contacted by a company to make, as it appears, the firs 360° dance video in the world.
The timeframe was incredibly small … we had just 3 days to put it together. The prototype camera would only be available for one day. So I started calling everybody I knew to see who would do it in such a short notice and made the impossible happen. With no budget we managed to get 4 female dancers, 4 male dancers, 4 b-boys, stylist, make up artists, hair, clothing… Everything came together. The only thing we needed was a cool location. After a few phone calls (and some persistence), we finally managed to have one of the most beautiful rooms available in the city of Leuven Belgium. That room was seemingly impossible to get since even national tv channels were not allowed to shoot in there. But to our big surprise, we got it.
Next up was making some choreography, rehearse and let the magic happen.
So I am very proud to share this incredible experience with the world.
Here is the first 360° dance video in the world. 100% made by Belgian talent..
(beter watch the video on google chrome or with the youtube app)
One of my biggest dreams has always been to combine dance and technology. This video is a step forward in that direction.
